'Healing Hands III' to follow Hur Jun
"Hur Jun" will finish airing on TVB on 5th August and there is already speculation as to whether TVB will air the previously postponed Japanese Series "Oh-Oku" or something else. It would appear that TVB is set to disprove murmurs that its own productions are no good by taking the decision to air "Healing Hands III" on the 8th August. With the previously announced series "My Sassy Mother-in-Law" and "Fantasy Hotel" airing at the same time, all three prime time slots will be TVB's own productions. There is one obvious problem with this though in that there will be a clash of actors and this may cause some confusion among the viewers. TVB's Programming Dept Assistant Chief Ho Koon Chung indicates that "Healing Hands III" was pulled to make way for "Hur Jun", so they are simply complying with audience requests to show this long anticipated series. In the show, Gigi Lai plays a forensic pathologist, so there will be plenty of juicy autopsy scenes left in the show.

As for the selections for this year's Anniversary productions, TVB feels that Ron Ng's "Revolving Doors of Vengeance" is of a very good quality and in an attempt to push Ron's career up a little more, they may air this show early as well as reconsider "Oh-Oku".

TVB Production Resources Deputy Chief Lok Yee Ling has been ill with flu lately, but she has responded about the reports of arguments on the set of "Legend of Ah Wong" between Siu Leung and the directors: "Siu Leung has always been rather eccentric, so I hope that the cast and crew can accommodate him." As for TVB's ratings, they saw a rise last week with "The Gentle Crackdown" rising 2 points to an average of 32 points, "The Gateau Affairs" pulling in 30 points, up three.

Super Trio Show Waves Goodbye Forever
Despite keeping an unmarred ratings record in the ten years since it first aired, the hosts of the "Super Trio Show" will be announcing in the final episode of its current run "The Super Trio Continues" that this will be the last ever episode of the hit game show. This will be followed by a huge celebration, with invitations being sent to over 80 previous guests of the show, including big names such as Faye Wong, Carina Lau, Kelly Chen and Diana Pang as well as Jordan Chan, one of the original hosts of the show.

Reports suggest that there will be 6 special awards handed out on the night, including "Most Sporting Artiste" and "Funniest Scene". Plenty of prizes and prize money as usual and TVB will be expressing thanks to hosts Eric Tsang, Jerry Lamb and Chin Ka Lok by presenting them with special awards in an attempt to make them cry. The show will be aired on the 10th of next month.

Currently in Beijing, Eric was contacted to comment and he said: "Ten years is a good time to be bring it to an end, I feel that it is hard for a show to be able to continue so long and despite changes to the people and the company, it has always been there maturing with the viewers, so the emotion is very strong. (With this official end, will the viewers miss you on the screen?) No, I make this pledge to the viewers that I will do any future suitable shows."

'Elder' Chin Ka Lok will miss the show: "It's not that we don't want to do it, but we just don't want to take the show to the point where no-one watches it any more. After a long decision, we wanted it to end on a high with plenty of great memories and after watching some past shows, seeing that some of the guests are no longer with us, it is quite moving."

Jerry Lamb comments: "Of course I will miss it, I think I will definitely cry on the final night, but to end on ten years leaves it perfect and I believe that there will be complaints from viewers. My own parents will complain because there will be no tickets for them to hand out to family and friends! Although 'Super Trio Show' is no more, the three of us may still greet the viewers with something new!"

'Misleading Track' Promo
TVB's new series "Misleading Track" held a promo event earlier where cast members set free some animals in a mercy gesture for good luck. Bowie was the first to let his fish go, but after throwing it up in the air first, he was accused of killing the fist before it hit the water. He laughs: "No, I was just making it easier for you to take photos! I hope that the ratings will be like the fish and shoot sky high."

As for Christine Ng, she was worried about slipping because she cannot swim, so she made sure that she was holding on tightly to Savio Tsang before mocking herself saying: "So embarrassing! I am always wearing bikinis, but I don't know how to swim. The worst thing was when my husband was teaching me in Thailand, some Hong Kong tourists saw me and I felt really embarrassed. I have said that I will not change though because learning to swim in your thirties is not a pretty sight."

Afterwards, Christine added: "When the producer mentioned we would be setting some animals free, I was really worried it would be turtles, because I have a phobia of any kind of turtle, large or small. Frankie Lam once frightened me with a turtle and I rushed into the dressing room crying. During filming once, there was a whole bucket of real turtles and I was so scared that I cursed his whole family with expletives!"

Christine goes on to warn that if anyone scares her with a turtle, she would fall out with them: "You can play with anything, except them! If the ratings are good, then we can all wear swimwear, or maybe the producer can hand out a load of money, that hasn't been tried before!" Bowie disagrees though, saying: "Swimwear has been done before, let me think of a better suggestion!"

Patrick Caught out with Selena
Last month there were reports suggesting that Patrick Tang and Selena Li were dating and although they both denied the rumours, but they have once again been spotted eating out together at Festival Walk in disguise. At first, they were just chatting aaway and then they were joined by another two men for the meal. To avoid being spotted, the couple then left one at a time, with Patrick leaving first and then looking out for Selena who left a few minutes later. They then headed for the cinema, where they entered one at a time again and then after the film, Patrick left first with the two men, whilst Selena mingled with the crowds.

When Patrick was asked about this, he said: "I can't explain it enough, so we just separated to avoid having things written about us." As for the two other men, they were friends he had met when he was filming in Shanghai. Asked who had arranged the date, he says: "I am not one to flirt with girls and we are just ordinary friends. Please don't say I am 'Miss HK killer' any more, I can't live up to this name. It is the tall, handsome and rich men who live up to this name, but not me."

As for Selena, she says: "I went to Festival Walk to have my hair done and they just happened to be meeting there, so I joined them for dinner. I don't want people to get the wrong idea, so I kept my distance, because if we walk together, people say we are dating, but if we don't then people will say we are evading each other. I don't know what distance we should keep, so I think the best thing would be not to eat together so much."
