Yu Fei is Back!
After losing out on the top award at last year's TVB anniversary awards, Sheren Tang has been rumoured to have been 'frozen' for a while after turning down offers of work from TVB, however it appears she has been 'thawed out' ready for next month, when she will be starring in new series "It's hard to be a Woman", deemed to be a Hong Kong version of hit US drama "Desperate Housewives" and she hopes that a 'modern-day Yu Fei' will give a new air of power!

The new series will have three leading ladies opposite three male leads and along with Sheren, Melissa Ng has also been confirmed among the cast. Sheren will be playing a strong businesswoman, who has a great career, but a not so great love life, so she needs a sperm donor to have a child. Currently filming in Hengdian, Sheren responds to the question of 'thawing' saying: "I have said all along that I wasn't suspended, I just took some leave from TVB because I wanted a rest and to film an external series."

Sheren will be returning to Hong Kong at the end of the month and will have her costume fitting early next month before diving straight into filming. She is very excited at the prospect of the new show: "I have always admired producer Poon Ka Tak and he does feminine shows very well, for example Liza Wang's 'The Awakening Story'. I worked with him over ten years ago on 'Yuk Yat Bui Hau', where I played a businesswoman. It left an impression because Elizabeth Lee had a UFO hairstyle!"

Sheren had earlier visited TVB to discuss the script with Producer Poon and she says that after reading the story and hearing the title, she was excited and applauding because she felt that the series and the role were made for her, with the leading female's background very reflective of her own, so she is confident of doing a good job. As for the character's battles in the world of business being a modern depiction of 'Yu Fei', Sheren emphasises that in real life, she would not have a sperm donor because it is a very irresponsible and selfish thing to do.

Although Sheren is full of praise for the series, when asked if she would be reaching a second peak in her career, she would not discuss this, as she believes that the series is a team effort and also has to tie in with the right time and place.

MHK Mocked in Jiangmen
The twenty Miss Hong Kong contestants arrived in Jiangmen earlier, where they were welcomed by the reception ladies to their hotel. When the locals saw the girls, they couldn't help voicing their opinions as they jeered loudly: "Are these so-called Miss Hong Kong?" and "They look prettier on the TV! Not as pretty in real life!" One man then said to the girls in the welcoming party: "Wah! You are prettier than them!"

Hot favourite No 18 Yuen Nei Ming did not mind this, saying: "I didn't hear them, but Miss Hong Kong is not just about looks, it is also about intelligence and education! The girls in the hotel were very pretty, their figures and smiles were very beautiful." She praises the locals for being very friendly and she felt the welcome was like that for the national team.

As for No 15 Lee Sze Nga, she says that her confidence has not been swayed by this: "I didn't hear them, I just felt that they were very friendly and polite as they took photos." As for being photographed with a tennis trainer suspected boyfriend, she explains: "He is my godbrother, we have known each other since we were young, so there is no chance of romance between us. He was at my home to see my parents." However, she is a little worried for him: "I don't know if he has a girlfriend yet and I am scared this may affect his chances!"

After a short rest at the hotel, the girls went out to shoot in Kaipeng, where they had to feed some fish and No 5 accidentally poured the whole bucket into the water, leaving her rather embarrassed.
