Maggie has Laser Surgery
Having a 300-degree near-sightedness, Maggie spends over 10000 dollars to get laser eye surgery. She laughingly says that her near-sightedness has caused many troubles for her in the past, being mistaken for ignoring others, but now that her vision is at its best, she will greet others whether or not they are near or far.

At noon last day, Maggie arrived at an optometry center with the guidance of friend. Since Maggie has not yet started filming on TVB’s new series “Shanghai Turbulence”, she took time out to get laser eye surgery. All the surgery is considered a small operation, but she seemed to be rather nervous, especially when signing the agreement notice, taking quite a few minutes before confirming to pick up the pen to sign. When the doctor asked if she needed a thorough explanation of the operation, Maggie immediately shakes her head and waves it off, saying, “No, I’d rather not know, I don’t want any more pressure.”

After a twenty-minute operation, her friend guided her out. Maggie then in relief says, “I used to see people in a blurry, fuzzy vision, especially when filming for series. Because I constantly have to work long hours, and am afraid my eyes will dry out, I don’t bother to wear contact lenses when filming. Aside from my co-star, when others afar wave out to me, I don’t see them, and then get mistaken for being too cool. Hopefully every one can forgive me. But now I will be able to see clearly, so I can greet every one even if they are far off.”

Many artists have already done laser eye surgery, asked why Maggie waited until now to, she reveals that she waited until her two sisters operations were done and successful before she had the courage to go for it, and get rid of her poor vision.

Minute Famers are Reunited
As celebrity dubbing artistes for the Cantonese version of animated film "Valiant", Joey Leung and 'Minutes to Fame' winners were reunited at the recent animation festival, where Joey went off to judge a model-making competition, whilst the others were promoting their film.

'Mr Mok' Mok Hoi Heem, 'Latin King' Dolby Kwan and 'Kiu Po Po' Paul Gill were all guests at the Voice over competition to promote the film, with some role reversal as they judged the contestants on the stage. As Joey's event was just before theirs, their paths crossed and they joined together for a photo opportunity.

Joey is quite a model enthusiast himself and to tie in with this event, he brought out a couple of his prized possessions to showm including a necklace that was bought from Japan. He says that he often gets together with fellow enthusiast Leo Ku to share their passion and he spends several thousand dollars a month on models. "It depends how much I have earned that month. In the past I would think about it for a long time before buying, but now I just buy on impulse. I won't buy anything too expensive though, so I don't spend that much." He says that in this cruel society, everyone needs something that they can indulge in. Some people like to do sports, but for him, he just needs to go to the toy shop and he will feel much happier.

Dolby was spotted doing some dancing for Paula Tsui's recent concert and he explains that he was helping his producer friend to offer some advice on positioning. He has danced with Paula though, five years ago when he was just a little fat kid. He met her at a charity ball and she found him rather sweet, so she danced the cha cha with him.

'Revolving Doors' Confident
TVB's new series "Revolving Doors of Vengeance" will begin airing on the 15th and TVB General Manager Stephen Chan is heavily behind the show, that was originally planned to be one of the Anniversary series for this year, but has been brought forward for airing because of the great reviews. Breaking the boundaries once again, a huge promotional event will be held for the show in the Philippines, where sixty cast and crew members will be sent out there in a gesture that will cost about $1 million. The group heads out on 8th and included will be leads Ron Ng, Kenix Kwok and Joe Ma, who is currently filming in Beijing.

With the Holiday Inn at the Laoag Resort being famed for its Presidential Suite, Kenix was asked if she will have the chance to stay in this luxurious room. She says: "I don't know, but if I have the chance I don't mind. Laoag is a popular tourist resort, so the rooms shouldn't be bad at all." With the current trend in comedies, Kenix feels that with the highly dramatic "Revolving Doors", the audience should enjoy the change of flavour. As for whether she is confident of an award this year, she says: "I am confident every year, but I am happy with or without an award."

As for Ron, he says: "It just proves how highly the company is valuing the series. (Have you stayed in the Presidential Suite?) I don't mind, I filmed there earlier on. (Are you confident of a male lead award?) I am confident in the show, but I am still young and inexperienced." Joe Ma says: "I will be flying out especially, the show is great and an excellent production of recent years. I know the company sees it highly."
