The arrangement of the artistes' placement is always noted as an indication of favour and this year it appears that last year's "Favourite Female"
Gigi Lai has been pushed aside in favour of Charmaine Sheh and Melissa Ng. Despite this, Gigi still showed her devotion, pointing out that she is wearing the company colours red, blue and green to show that she is not only TVB on the inside, but also on the outside. As for Charmaine, asked if she was in favour this year, she replied: "I am not tall enough, so if I don't stand in front, then I will be covered up!" She says that Raymond did not have flowers or a ring so this would not have qualified. *** The anomoscity between
Sonija Kwok and Steven Ma that built up after filming for "Perish in the Name of Love" was broken down by a genial greeting from Sonija during the start of filming for new series "Throughout the World", which stars Sonija, Steven,
Moses Chan and Tavia Yeung. Sonija openly said that in the show they play good friends, but in real life, they are just colleagues. Jennifer Lopez and find success in film, television and music. *** Gigi Lai
and Moses Chan went out to meet the public in a charity poster sale event and were flooded with response from the crowds who surrounded them. Even if he receives no royalties, he is pleased about TVB's 'Ah Wong' cartoon strip to promote the series. *** Cast members of "Real Kung Fu" including Yuen Biao,
Timmy Hung, Selena Li and Charmaine Li were promoting the series in Foshan with a display of Wing Chun together with 200 Wing Chun students. Showing her love for the kids, she was the centre of attention as all the children gathered around and tried to play with her. She says that whenever she sees the kids, she starts to feel broody, but she will not have children of her own before marriage. is not optimistic about winning any awards this year after being 'exiled' to China for so long. She hopes that when her big production shows are aired next year, then she will stand a better chance as they are all working with very experienced mainland actors. *** Ron Ng took part in a promotional event where the guests were tested on their heartbeat reactions to comments from MC Jan Lamb. Ron took the top spot when Jan spoke about his kiss from Joyce Cheng in an earlier children's show sent his heart rate soaring and no amount of evasion could hide the result from the machine.
