In the teeveebee tea room, the resident critics discuss:
MISS HONG KONG 2005 - ROUND ONE

Girl #1
SugarSpice: Pretty, looks like Joey Yung but isn't it hot in Hk? why bring all the sweaters?
mui mui jai: Pretty but reminds me of a librarian rather than pageant queen.
Fashionista: Very sweet looking girl. Cant tell much about her figure with that oversize rug in the way.
fei si lai: Looks like she plans to camp out at TVB City for the night with her blanket, stool and water bottle!

Girl #3
SugarSpice: Missed your stop? Take MTR to Lo Wu, then take bus to Sum Jun.
mui mui jai: Looks like someone was planning to move into the interview all together!
Fashionista: Where did this girl come from? She's look like she's dressed to go to the sunday grocery mkt shopping. Very daggy.
FeiSiLai: Straight off the plane and on to TVB City!

Girl #5
SugarSpice: TVB wants ballet dancers too?
mui mui jai: Posture is kind of scary!
Fashionista: Totally mismatch and out of style. Eww..some1 teach her how to dress please !
FeiSiLai: Is she leaning on the post because her legs can't hold her up?

Girl #7
SugarSpice: Let's throw everything I own on myself.
mui mui jai: Not bad looking, but a little overdressed don't ya think?
Fashionista: Very nice co-ordinates. White singlet with matching skirt, teamed with a tan top. White oversize bag and carry a grey-ish brown bag. Very simple, but nice.
FeiSiLai: Put on a nice dress and then cover it up. Great idea!

Girl #9
SugarSpice: She wore all the gold from her closet
mui mui jai: I see someone has a thing for money...
Fashionista: Dunno wot kinda statement she is doing here. Very casual look, fake YSL tee? Fake or real designer bag? Try hard-wannabe?
FeiSiLai: Are YSL paying you for that ad on your chest?

Girl #11
SugarSpice: Very stylish!
mui mui jail: Nice style but what is this, a funeral?
Fashionista: Boring outfit. Plain black top, with dark fitted pants and white wide belt with black oversize bag. Wearing sunnies and looking away-not confident of her looks perhaps?
FeiSiLai: Looks like she's trying to hide herself away rather than get herself famous.

Girl #13
SugarSpice: Another stylish girl. Very elegant in a OL way.
mui mui jai: Just a tad too stylish and a bit skinny
Fashionista: lovely simple flowy dress teamed with a beige trench coat. Simply gorgeous. The bag- totally wrong.
FeiSiLai: She has shades on and it's still too bright for her?

Girl #15
SugarSpice: This one screams I just came from the beach and I don't care about this interview.
mui mui jai: I think she just went shopping and almost forgot about the interview all together!
Fashionista: Looking fresh and vibrant.
FeiSiLai: Ouch my eyes hurt...get #13 to lend me her shades!

Girl #17
SugarSpice: Looks like that Cherry doll but missing that cherry hat!
mui mui jai: Top is just a little too tight!
Fashionista: She has way too much make up. Is that fake tan on her legs??
FeiSiLai: Aww so sweet, she's borrowed her mom's blusher and lipstick!

Girl #19
SugarSpice: Passerby
mui mui jai: *Must sneeze!* Fashionista: Another person that has no confidence. Plain outfit. no style. FeiSiLai: This one didn't get her parent's permission to take part then...

Girl #21
SugarSpice: Even the plunging neckline doesn't help enhance
mui mui jai: Nice dress, but that's about it.
Fashionista: Nice LBD, but doesnt do anything for her figure.
FeiSiLai: Prime candidate for Shirley Cheung's breast enhancing pills.

Girl #23
SugarSpice: Pretty! But later press spies on her with boyfriend
mui mui jai: Very pretty, has potential ^^
Fashionista: sweet dress
FeiSiLai: I'm not allowed to criticize her....

Girl #2
SugarSpice: Sexy & ready for Miss Hong Kong. In other photos neckline is really low!
mui mui jai: Does she see a guy she likes??
Fashionista: Looking overly confident for the cameras. Simple dress that accentuates her assets. Not too sure about that LV bag, more of a distraction.
FeiSiLai: Confident and already knows how to arch those hips for the cameras - has potential!

Girl #4
SugarSpice: Wait a minute, did the requirement change to born in China?
mui mui jai: Wonder which decade she stepped out of...
Fashionista: Totally mismatch and out of style. Eww..some1 teach her how to dress please !
FeiSiLai: Don't I recognise you from MHK 1984?

Girl #6
SugarSpice: Little red riding hood, this is not the way to grandma's house!
mui mui jai: Nice hair...if she wasn't ASIAN!
Fashionista: She should know better than dress like she just woken up. Bad image. Her sunglasses and her tube dress so does not match the tie shirt and floral bag. She is a walking disaster.
FeiSiLai: Excuse me missus, the market is THAT way...

Girl #8
SugarSpice: Dress looks romantic.
mui mui jai: Very nice dress, interesting facial expression!
Fashionista: Hmmm..did she just come from a Dinner Party?? She looks kinda overdressed.
FeiSiLai: Did you make that dress from your granny's dressing gown?

Girl #10
SugarSpice: Reminds me of Kenix Kwok! Both stick thin
mui mui jai: She has a nice casual look to herself.
Fashionista: Great figure, long legs, simple emsemble matched well. Have potential model look.
FeiSiLai: If only my legs were as thin as hers. Sigh...

Girl #12
SugarSpice: Plain
mui mui jai: A little overdressed, must be bright inside as well...
Fashionista: That shirt just totally ruins her look all together. The low-rise jeans, totally wrong style for her shape, makes her look short.
FeiSiLai: OK, getting a skinny legs overdose here...

Girl #14
SugarSpice: Other girls missed the train, but this one missed the boat!
mui mui jai: Run for your lives!!
Fashionista: Oh please, she looks like she just came out from the gym or something. Those white shorts are sooo eww. Is she trying to look like the girl in the t-shirt? Is she related to # 5??
FeiSiLai: Auntie, are you here for 'Chaan Ho Yat Ding'?

Girl #16
SugarSpice: You think this is bad? Wait till you are in swimsuit
mui mui jai: I can't look, I can't look!
Fashionista: "OMG...im not here, u cant see me..go away " she says. She so does not have self confidence at all. Even her dress sense-she's covered herself up.
FeiSiLai: "Mustn't let them see my face...oh yeah, this is a beauty contest...damn!"

Girl #18
SugarSpice: Nice skirt but that's all
mui mui jai: Headed for the lingerie store! Yellow shoes came from the 80s!
Fashionista: BAD dress style. Gold halter print top with yellow cardi, yellow shoes and a gold bag?? erghhh...which planet is she from??? That skirt looks like an old linen table cloth !
FeiSiLai: Someone had an indecisive moment in the lingerie store.

Girl #20
SugarSpice: Nice smile,
mui mui jai: Pretty, reminds me of Athena Chu minus the large chest area...
Fashionista: Slim gal with a funky attitude. Great smile. She's got the grunge look happening. Nice.
FeiSiLai: At least she is smiling at the cameras! Shame about the bag...

Girl #22
SugarSpice: Very pretty like Shu Kay. Dress is too low
mui mui jai: Pretty but wrong choice of clothing!
Fashionista: Cute girl, the top rather revealing though.
FeiSiLai: She looks like Ma Tai Lo.

Girl #24
SugarSpice: Sars is back?! Noooo
mui mui jai: Next stop, nearest hospital! Need to be disinfected right away! Fashionista: She soo does NOT have the figure to wear THAT dress, which Carrie Bradshaw wore on SATC. (The epi where she's with Stamford in the mkt and run's into Heather Graham.) What the heck is with that large bowling bag and the mask?? who she trying to be??? The floppy hat has to go ! FeiSiLai: This girl is making a political statement. She's not really a contestant, but a member of some cult faction, ready to spread some religious propoganda with her pink hat and face mask. Either that or she has a cold.
